Walker review

Lovely walk, quite a few dog walkers and runners. Quite muddy so definately walking boots or wellies needed this time of the year. Saw some deer and many pheasants which was a nice surprise.

Walker review

Lovely walk - saw deer, hares, herons, pheasants and sheep with very young lambs. Walked through fields, woods and along streams.

Walker review

This is a really lovely walk with woods, river, views and some very pretty sections. Very quiet which was lovely. Up there with our favourites so far.

Walker review

Took me about 1 and a half hours at a brisk-ish pace. Was absolutely lovely. Would definitely do it again. Thanks walks team!

Firstly it is not easy to park at the beginning. However, did manage to find somewhere to park. Lovely walk. Over the ford and up the hill is a bench with glorious views. Shady through the woods obviously but lovely open country too. Two fields of sheep but the rest my dog was off lead except for short sections on quiet lanes.

Walker review

Real gem of a walk through unspoilt Hertfordshire countryside, complete with spring lambs and sunshine! Highlights are the open fields, ruined chuch, and Barwick Ford. Ermine’s Cafe in Thundridge for lunch.

Walker review

Fabulous walk! Stunning scenery. Peaceful. Rural. River and ford for dog to paddle in. Lots of wildlife. Will be quite muddy in places after a lot of rain. Very limited parking. Didnt find the pub on route.

Walker review

Great varied route. Lambs were very cute! Sweeping views.

After a stroll through the pretty Sawtrees Woods, you'll then head west on the Harcamlow Way until you reach the village of High Cross. You'll then head up north through more quiet lanes and countryside to the village of Colliers End.

One of the fields does not have an openable gate where it meets the road where the walk is meant to go, i had to climb over a metal gate and I checked the route several times. Otherwise this is very beautiful and enjoyable.

Walker review

Lovely varied walk. Few short stretches on quiet roads. Few easy stiles. I parked at Barwick Ford as I think it is easier to park there. You could pick this walk up at various points.
