Walk information
This first route is a simple pub walk in and around the Hertfordshire village of Hunsdon.
You'll head out into the open countryside to the east of the village and through the Hunsdon Airfield. After that the walk loops back along a tree-lined path and more open countryside until you reach the village with it's two pub options.

Easy to follow. Plane landing right in front of us was a highlight. Village is cute – pubs looked nice.
Great walk with the dogs and the crown has a nice outside space, the food is great and really well priced.

If you have more time and energy for your adventure, this second walk is a much longer route that fully explores the lovely peaceful countryside around Hunsdon.
As well as enjoying the vast countryside paths, you'll also walk through the pretty Gilston Park and visit a pub in the village of Eastwick before heading back through more countryside to the start.

First-hand experiences
Eastwick pub is closed for good....There is a long cinder track from a farm for about 1 mile which is very boring....Would I enjoy the experience of this 6.5 mile walk on a very warm day again… no!...There is clay pigeon shooting on a Sunday morning which our dogs weren’t too happy with.
