This first route is a lovely short family-friendly pub walk from the pretty village of Standon.
After a short stroll through the High Street with it's lovely church and wonderful pub with great beer garden and play area, you'll then embark on a short circular and relatively flat walk around the Standon lordship countryside and River Rib.

My first walk using the app and it was fantastic! Perfect free walk for my dog with shallow pools of water for him to play in. The countryside was beautiful and the pub on route was just perfect! The tracking is so accurate which put me at total ease.

If you have the extra time and energy we would highly recommend this longer route from Standon.
It still enjoys the village with it's pretty church, and the lovely circular walk around the Standon Lordship countryside, but this extra loop climbs up the big hill to the south of the village and takes you on a lovely loop of countryside walking with great views to enjoy as you go.
It's not that strenuous a hill to tackle, but it will work up more of an appetite for when you return to the lovely pub in the village with it's large beer garden and play area for the kids.

Lovely walk, just need to be careful when walking on the roads, mix of grass and road walking...will definately need walking boots/wellies when wet. Few hills but nothing too taxing. Also if you want less strnenuous walk, walk in the opposite direction as it seems to be less hilly.

This is one of my absolute favourite walks. I love that a lot of it is along the river. Its so pretty and peaceful. We even saw a kingfisher this time. The bits on the lanes are super pretty too. The views are gorgeous the whole way. This time we took detour through the woods and that was really beautiful too. Lunch at the Star was excellent. We needed to book - even on a week day. Recommended.
Stunning walk with amazing views. My husky amd springer loved it especially river access at multiple points allowing them to have a hood drink. Lots of parking on standon high street.
Very nice especially along the river. If an extension of another couple of kilometres was possible, it would be great.
