Sacombe Walks & Route Maps

Great views to the west so good for a sunny evening walk for the best views.

The walk was lovely, however, there were two lively horses in the field, and we had to turn back and retrace our path.

Lovely walk and didn’t see a soul. Only issue was some very friendly horses. If your dog is at all nervous then this could be a problem.

Good walk but very muddy in places. 3 over friendly horses in field, might scare some people. Very narrow lanes to parking place - make note of passing places when driving there; just in case.

Loved the views and the abundant wildlife

Our favorite walk yet with the dog loved it! ...

A nice distance easy walk, lots of fields and woodland. All the horses I saw were in paddocks. Lovely walk for dogs with good recall because there is much wildlife. A peacful walk, felt like i was miles from anywhere and anyone for most of the walk

Lovely walk. Wear wellies!

Another lovely, peaceful walk. Great for dog walking and all bar the last quarter of a mile, on good farm tracks so should be fine in wet weather. Be careful as you approach Bourne Wood, the little bridge could definitely do with some maintenance. The beautiful church, which unfortunately has lots of scaffolding around at the moment has a couple of nice benches to sit and have lunch in the tranquil surroundings.

Lovely walk, didnt see a single person, just a few deer and some horses. The path at the very end is very unclear, I ended up creeping under some barbed wire before realising I was in private woodland.

Lovely, peaceful walk with a fine balance of woodland, open fields and grasslands. Well maintained track, mostly surfaced, so not muddy. Easy to follow route. The last bit of the walk, which also encompasses the 2nd part of the short walk, we encountered 3 horses in a field where the footpath led, that charged towards us. We retraced our steps rather than carrying on across the field as unsure what they would do as we had our dog on a lead and they were a little intimidating.

Lovely walk except for the horses!!......Easy parking at the church which is worth a visit. Lovely wide paths for most of the walk. Saw no one at all. One field towards the end had 12 - 15 young horses in it. They werent aggressive but were intimidating and I’m used to horses!! They surrounded my dog who was on a tight short lead and me..

Lovely walk, however had to dodge some curious horses with my dog at the end! Also last pathway down the hill towards the Church is very overgrown at the moment. Buggy and Wheelchairs would be unable to manage this. However, overall a very enjoyable and relaxing walk that I will definitely enjoy again.

Pleasant walk in rolling countryside

It was a great walk just a shame there wasn’t the expected pub or cafe. Would definately do it again though. We had to make a slight detour near the end because of some young inquisitive horses and we had dogs with us.
