Yet another stunning countryside

Lovely scenic walk but unfortunately missed the turn down to the river at the end of the woods has sign post been moved?

Beautiful walk! Lots of spots for a picnic. Would be very muddy if wet. Lots of wildlife but all livestock behind fences, pigs and sheep.

Easy and enjoyable walk. Forestry work ongoing but part of the route "cut up" and deeply furrowed tyre tracks now well dried out. Peaceful and plenty of Spring birdsong in the air throughout.

Great walk, however be aware very muddy in parts due to forestry work and the path down to the stream is steep and non existent due to be covered by fallen timber .

The return leg, through the woods has been torn up by heavy vehicles and is virtually impassable due to the heavy clay mud. Maybe wait until dryer weather.

Really enjoyed this walk. It was steep-ish descent downhill to start and we passed some sheep in an adjacent field to the road but there are lots of deer about so dogs really kept on lead unless you are confident you could recall them back or they are competent enough to return after the chase. Lots of water stops along the duration of the walk. Plus some absolutely stunning properties to admire.

Walked the route clockwise. Bit of a walk down a road to start but there is a footpath that runs parallel you could take instead. Road was very quiet. The walk back along the river through the woods was sticky and slippery mud. I would avoid if rain has been heavy/persistant in the days beforehand. Walk passes through some sheep fields but there were none when we completed the walk. Took 80 minutes to complete whilst stopping to admire some of the properties in the area. There are lots of footpaths in the area so you could extend the walk if needed.
