Birdlip Viewpoint is located near the village of Birdlip in Gloucestershire. It’s a hidden gem that offers visitors an amazing view of the surrounding Cotswold countryside and beyond.

Perched on top of the Cotswold escarpment, Birdlip Viewpoint provides a sweeping panoramic view that stretches as far as the eye can see. From this elevated viewpoint, you can enjoy views of rolling hills, lush valleys, and picturesque villages that dot the landscape.

The viewpoint is particularly renowned for its breathtaking sunset views, when the sky is ablaze with vibrant colours, casting a warm glow over the Cotswold countryside.

This is a long and strenuous pub walk adventure from the pretty village of Birdlip.

You'll need a lot of energy on this one as you head out into the hilly area of woodlands and open countryside that you'll find between Birdlip and Great Witcombe.

Aside from the hilly Witcombe Wood and the lovely pub in the village, you'll also visit the Witcombe Reservoirs for some waterside walking. In addition, there is an extension taking you to the gorgeous Barrow Wake viewpoint and back again, making this a very varied walk that's well worth all the effort.

Please note that there are some steep sections on this walk.
