The Bisley walks offer a fantastic choice of circular routes starting from the picturesque Cotswold village of Bisley, each showcasing the area’s beautiful valleys, woodlands and streams.

Whether you opt for a gentler loop or tackle one of the more adventurous options, you’ll wander through peaceful woods, cross bubbling streams by stepping stones, pass a scenic lake and enjoy far-reaching countryside views, with some steep and uneven sections adding a satisfying challenge along the way.

Longer routes take you on to the neighbouring villages of Eastcombe and Bussage, making this a wonderfully varied set of walks for confident walkers with sturdy footwear. Best of all, each route is perfectly finished with a well-earned stop at one of the welcoming local pubs, including The Bear Inn, Stirrup Cup, Lamb Inn and The Ram, making Bisley an ideal base for a rewarding day of walking and relaxing in the Cotswolds.

This circular walk begins in the charming Cotswold village of Bisley, leading you through woodlands, along pretty streams, and offering lovely countryside views. The route includes a few obstacles such as stepping-stones across streams and some steeper sections with uneven ground, so sturdy footwear is recommended. After the walk, you can relax at one of the two cosy pubs in the village.

Bisley is a beautiful village. Our welcome at the Bear Inn was very friendly.We walked this in June after a very long dry spell, and still, one section was relatively wet. The paths, however, were very well maintained. Despite it being the height of nettle and bramble growing season, all the paths were accessible, well done to whoever maintains them.The scenery was stunning.

Great walk, a bit steep in places but not for long. Lovely mix of open pasture land and woodland and the village is very pretty. We parked up the road from The Bear and we had a drink there on the way back to the car. The pub has changed hands and the kitchen wasnt open but should be by the end of April.

A lovely route with lots of interest for kids. Did this in March after a dry spell and the conditions underfoot were fine. There are some short steep sections that would get slippy in the wet, and one field with cows.

The walk was so muddy it was actually dangerous, we slipped several times and only just caught ourselves. Summer/dry weather walk only. The Bear is closing down - had hardly any stock left. We understand the pub chain that owns it is looking for new tenants.

Bisley Valley Walk

This second walk from Bisley follows the scenic valley to the village of Eastcombe, winding through woodlands, past streams, and with lovely countryside views. This is a hilly area with some steep and uneven sections, but the views and lovely scenery make it worthwhile. Sturdy footwear and suitable clothing are recommended, especially during wet weather. Bisley has two welcoming pubs, and Eastcombe offers another with a garden overlooking the valley and countryside, perfect for a rest halfway through the walk.

Great walk, some inclines but not too challenging, quite a hidden path by the side of the pub, (its on the left side!) ...Dog had a great time and enjoyed the water. Recommend to wear walking boots/waterproof shoes as some parts muddy even with no rain close to running water areas. Really enjoyed the views.

Perfect walk. Heavenly scenery and a great Sunday lunch at the Ram. Last bit of walk back into Bisley marred by twits on v loud scrambler bikes that acared my dog.

Bisley Three Villages Walk

The third walk from Bisley is a rewarding and more challenging route that leads you through three charming villages. Following the valley, the walk winds through Toadsmoor Woods and around a scenic lake before ascending to Bussage, where you'll have the chance to pause at the local pub.

The route then descends back into the valley and continues to Eastcombe, offering another opportunity for refreshments, before returning to Bisley.

This walk offers woodland paths, stunning scenery, and some steep, strenuous sections, so be prepared for a true adventure.
