Toadsmoor Valley Walks & Route Maps

A reasonably nice walk with some steep bits. Definitely sensible shoes required. If going clockwise, the second half is alot nicer and better maintained. The beginning path hugs the pubs left side. Dogs need to be kept on leads quite a bit.

We went on a hot day. Very hilly and steps at the start and end but flattens out along the lake and stream. A pleasant walk and managed with a 4 and 7 year old (just!). Pub at the end or shop for refreshments. Roads very narrow with sat nav so be careful in large cars. Wouldnt rush back but a nice wall nonetheless.

The initial path runs from the bottom of the pub car park - this needs to be highlighted as it’s not obvious

The problem was finding the start point, since read others comments and found it on return journey. An instruction you walk into the pub forecourt and go to the left of the building. The initial decent can is quite uneven and slippery so take care or bring poles but a lovely route and mainly wide tracks. Beautiful views.

The route starts alongside the Lamb Inn down some steps - no signage.

Lovely walk. Start is not obvious, just walk into The Lamb grounds and you’ll see the path you need to take! Up and down so beware of hills!

Great walk to do on a warm summers day. Plenty of shade in the woods

No public toilets but two pubs on route where you could probably go if eating/drinking there.

At the beginning of the walk by the pub it was impossible to find the footpath so had to detour on the road. This happened again further on in the walk again. A lovely route once in the forest area. Its not a well travelled route and at times very overgrown.

Enjoyed walk 1 so went back and did walk 2. ...Both pubs are worth visiting. Found the staff friendly staff in both.
