This is a lovely walk in Miserden. If you are looking for a walk around a delightful Cotswold village, cosy traditional pub and beautiful scenery, this walk is for you.

This walk starts in the village of Miserden and takes you through Miserden Park, down into the valley, along woodland paths and around the lake before climbing back up to the village.

Although this walk appears short, it is more strenuous than it looks. It can be muddy at times and this walk includes permissive paths and due to livestock and wildlife, please keep dogs on leads.

Very enjoyable walk

Walker review

Lovely walk! Just be prepared for the ground to be wet even in summer! Lots of horses and sheep in the first and last field. Village is gorgeous. Very hilly in places.

This second walk from the pretty Cotswold village of Miserden is an extended version of the first walk and instead of returning to the village after the lake, you continue through the park and onto a quiet country lane.

You then return to the village over picturesque open countryside. Like the first walk, it can be muddy at times with some inclines.

There were a couple of stone stiles on the route which were tricky for a large dog that couldnt jump up and over and needed to be lifted over. One could have been bypassed though we think.

Lovely, quiet walk, I didn’t see another soul (midweek). Only spoilt by 3 full dog poo bags left neatly on a wall! Why do dog owners do this???

Towards the end of the walk the field with sheep has a live electric fence around it with no safe way over for walkers on the right of way so be careful

A really enjoyable walk. Picturesque village, reasonable pub, beautiful woods, pretty lake, open fields. Some hills to get the heart rate up a bit. Will definitely do it again and would recommend.

Farmer has put cows and sealed off a section of the walk but an easy diversion route was found and welcomed as we saw 2 deer.
