This first route from the gorgeous Furneux Pelham village is a simple short countryside stroll.
It's a perfect quick one to stretch the legs a bit before exploring the village and visiting the amazing pub where you'll fine exceptional food and a wonderful large sunny beer garden with a great play area for the kids.

This second route is a perfect pub walk in the beautiful countryside around Furneux Pelham.
The main thing we like about the countryside up in this area of Hertfordshire is you can hardly hear traffic noise around you as you walk, making for a very peaceful adventure.
This walk gives you that in oodles as you walk around the countryside enjoying the views before ending up in the lovely pub. The Brewery Tap is a lovely welcoming country pub with one of the best beer gardens we've seen on our adventures around the county. Enjoy!

The third option is another lovely countryside adventure from Furneux Pelham, this time heading out to the west of the village.
The first half of the walk enjoys some peaceful countryside walking along the Hertfordshire Way, before you then loop around and walk back through more open peaceful countryside and through a field called 'The Mumble Jumble'.
Don't ask us why it's called that, as we don't know!

If you want to stretch your legs a bit more whilst enjoying the peaceful countryside around Furneux Pelham, and if you want to add an extra pub to your adventure, then the fourth route might be for you.
This one heads south from the village enjoying a stretch of the Hertfordshire Way until you reach the lovely pub in Gravesend.
You'll then stroll through the pretty Patmore Heath, before heading back to Furneux Pelham through more peaceful open countryside.

Delightful walk. Fields and woods. Some fields only had very narrow paths due to growing crops. A few... short stretches on roads.

The fifth option is for those of you that really want to make a day if it and enjoy a long walk in this lovely peaceful countryside.
It's basically the same as walk 4, with the Hertfordshire Way, two pubs and Patmore Heath.
However, the walk simply squeezes in a couple more miles by taking you further to the south of the village and enjoying some of the pretty woodlands that you'll find down there.

Easy parking. Lovel varied walk with good views in places. Couple of slight inclines but nothing too strenuous. Some quiet roads. Long stretch of road nearer the end can be avoided.

Furneux Pelham is spoilt for walk options, and this sixth walk is an epic adventure that explores the Pelham villages and the wonderful peaceful countryside between them.
This walk first heads out towards the village of Brent Pelham, where you can visit the lovely pub for a pitstop, before then embarking on another long loop of walking back to Furneux Pelham, via the pretty village of Stocking Pelham.
It's a long walk, so you'll be happy for the welcoming pub with it's amazing pub garden back at the start!

Walk information
We know some of you ask for 8 mile+ training walks, so this final route option is basically route 2 and route 5 added together.
This offers you a glorious long 'figure of eight' walking adventure that fully explores the best bits of the delightfully peaceful countryside around Furneux Pelham.
Head on the south loop first and follow the loops clockwise, as that'll present you at the wonderful Brewery Tap pub at the end of the adventure, so you can enjoy their beautiful beer garden.

Plenty of parking outside church. Fairly flat 7 miles. Few short sections on very quiet roads. Some paths a little overgrown at this time if year. But all in all a bery enjoyable walk.
