Walk information
This first route is a very pleasant walk that starts by the church in Osmaston, which is a small village close to the county borders of Derbyshire and Staffordshire.
This walk will take you along pretty country lanes, through the Shirley Park woodland, past lakes and across the pretty countryside around Osmaston Park.
There is also a nice pub for refreshments at the end of your walk.

Pleasant walk on this cold and sunny winters day. Very hilly tho, up and down throughout, so be prepared for that. Mixture of pathed, grass and muddy underfoot, but all passable. Lovely pub in the village ‘The shoulder of Mutton’
Partially accessible.
Mostly flat, a couple of climbs. Lovely well maintained landscape.

This is a slightly longer version of the Osmaston walk which heads in the same direction as the first walk, but doesn't take the path through the Shirley Park woodland.
Instead you carry on through lovely countryside to the pretty village of Shirley where there is another wonderful village pub (half way around the walk.)
After visiting the village, you then loop back along pretty country lanes, past lakes and woodland, across farmland and alongside Shirley Brook to Osmaston where there is another nice pub to enjoy.
