This first route is a lovely varied walk around the countryside to the west of Croxley Green.

The walk is short but it packs in some open countryside, some riverside roaming alongside the River Chess, a bit of woodland walking and a stroll through the village green where you can visit one of two lovely pubs.

A lovely stroll with the two pubs to choose from on Croxley Green, shoch both are great. Woodland, river, fields, the green. Overall a wonderful walk with our dog.

Overall an enjoyable walk, but had to do a major detour as a main route was blocked due to sheep in the field coming in to lambing season. Ended up on quite a busy road with no footpath. Totally fine for us, but might be an issue for younger families.

First time using the app, it was very easy to follow the little arrow. Tried a local area walk to try out but this route new to me. Nice mix of river, fields and woods although dog had to be on the lead for middle part of walk.

Great walk along the chalk stream, dogs were off lead for the most part, one very busy road to cross to get back to the car park. This was our first walk using the app, very impressive!

This second route option has basically all of the variety from the first walk, but the extra distance takes you on an extra adventure around the wonderful Croxley Common Moors and along the Ebury Way and Buddleia walk.

Walked in early July and the woods just before the pubs had very overgrown paths with lots of nettles. Either wear long sleeves and trousers or take a stick to beat them back. Otherwise no problems.

Very enjoyable walk

4hrs free parking in car park at the start but was busy when i went. Busy main road to cross at the start but quiet after that. The majority of the walk is on surfaced paths so easy to walk and not muddy. The route takes you via the canal, the river, the common and the woods. Plenty of bluebells in the woods. Lovely route that i would do again. As on my own with the dog didn’t stop in the pubs but they did look lovely from the outside.

This final route option is the official Croxley Green Boundary Walk which takes you on a long and varied adventure around the village of Croxley Green.

You can expect woodlands, waterside walking, a stroll through the moor and open countryside on this lovely walk.

The outer ring is the official route, but we've also added an optional detour version (the red dotted detour) that skips a bit of countryside and instead takes you into the village green where you'll find two lovely pubs for some refreshments on your journey.

This is a great walk. We did the longest version. The walk had some wonderful green fields, canals, boats, fishing lakes, easy to follow paths and we had the best view ever of a lancaster bomber which just happened to fly overhead.
