Bishops Stortford Walks & Route Maps

This first route is a nice vibrant stroll around the parks and meadows in Bishop's Stortford.

You'll first head through the Grange Paddocks that have football pitches and can be a hive of activity at the weekends.

Then, you'll enjoy a walk alongside the pretty River Stort, before visiting the remains of Waytemore Castle which has a hill you can climb to get a great view over the park.

There's also a nice cafe by the castle, where you can soak up the buzzing atmosphere of the park.

If you have some more time, then this second route is an extended version of the first walk.

Like the first route, it will explore the Grange Paddocks, River Stort and Waytemore Castle ruins.

However, this route also takes you on a long walk alongside the River Stort into the town itself before looping back through the town centre, visiting the pretty church and lots of eating options on the way.
