Symonds Yat Rock Walk
1.25 miles
If you are looking for a walk with spectacular views then this hike to Symonds Yat Rock is the one for you. Although it's a relatively short route, you will need plenty of energy. This walk climbs through woodland until you reach Symonds Yat Rock where you will be rewarded with the world famous views along the Wye Valley and River Wye. There is a cafe near the top and when you return we have added a short detour to the Saracens Head Inn which has lovely views over the river.

The longer more gentle route up/down is still shut so its a there and back walk. We did there and back and then the other app route also.

Path back down is currently closed for maintenence.

Really enjoyed this walk, it was the perfect autumn day, so the tree colours were spectacular! The view at the top isif course amazing! Loved the cafe at the top, and the pub for lunch at the bottom.

The ferry was closed so we did this route instead. Once we got to the top of Symonds Yat we did a longer route back through the woods and along the river to the pub. Worked well, was easy to find an alternative way.
