Goldings Walk & Route Map

Goldings Walk...Whilst this short walk takes in the lovely grounds of the Goldings Estate, I think it would be better instead to do the Waterford Heath Walk 4. (This includes the Goldings Estate). Firstly, the parking is easier. We weren’t quite sure if the App was suggesting that we park in the road (too narrow and fast), or in the cemetery (we didn’t feel comfortable parking there). Secondly the Waterford Heath walk has slightly less road walking. The walk around the estate is definitely worth it though.

So many anymals! I enjoyed it very much.

Very pleasant walk -paths slightly overgrown but not a problem. Went for a lovely pub lunch by the river at the Waterside Inn in Ware.

Did this walk today after seeing recommendations here. Apart from the first part along a busy road (with footpath), the walk was fantastic with all the farm animals to see. Enjoyed seeing highland cattle, donkeys, horses and sheep.

This is a pretty little walk. The animals were the highlight for me.

The paths at the back of the estate are overgrown so would be difficult, if not impossible to take a buggy or a wheel chair along these routes. Its also important to note that you will walk in two fields with animals. In our case it was horses and cows and as you can imagine this can create some challenges if walking with children or dogs - so please exercise caution in these areas. Also the estate is set on a hillside, so except to walk up some slightly steep paths. Other than that, the estate is amazing to look at, especially as the sun is going down. And its enjoyable to look at the animals.

You will have to walk through fields with horses and cows so some time spent on the lead if recall is a problem.

The kids really loved this walk, it was a real hit with them due to all the livestock you come across. Sheep, goats, donkeys, horses and highland cows. We took a buggy and got round fine, although would be tougher if it was raining/just rained and muddy.

The marked access off the first road was tricky. Continue down the road for a short way and there is a much easier footpath there.

Great one for the family, but not very interesting or challenging for regular distance walkers.
