Crickley Hill is on The Cotswold Escarpment and offers panoramic views of the area, it’s also of geological and archaeological interest because of the limestone layers that form these steep escarpments running down to the Severn Valley. Historically, there is also evidence of settlements and an Iron Age Hill Fort with excavations of Crickley Hill taking place between 1969 and 1993.

There are steep paths and cliff faces in the country park and the 102 mile Cotswold Way runs through the Crickley Hill Nature Reserve.

As well as being able to see the beautiful Belted Galloway Cattle which roam this area and help manage the grassland, there is also a great feeling of nature all around, with thousands of species of wildlife and diverse wildflowers. Crickley Hill is a designated area of conservation and wherever you walk here, you get a true sense of the size and breadth of the escarpment and the habitats that have formed because of it.

Crickley hill also offers a nice cafe, parking and toilets by the car parks. The parking is charged at a standard £2 fee for the day.
