Prestbury Walk & Route Map

Gorgeous views, a couple of pubs and coffee shop at the end of the route. Enjoyable route and would do again!

Lovely short local walk, but beware at this time of year, there is livestock in a few of the fields

As mentioned the car park is no longer there but free on road parking so wasnt an issue. Easy route to follow took us about an hour ish and was really enjoyable. Some boggy parts and the weather has been amazing just lately, so I can imagine it would definitely need appropriate footwear in wetter weather. Finished off with a drink at the plough, sat in the garden with the dog and it was lovely. They have an outside dog washing station which would definitely be helpful when the weather is not so kind.

Unfortunately the carpark is now closed. This walk is a good short walk with great views of the racecourse

Got a little bit lost after the ellenborough park hotel when it said to cross the stream, i couldnt see a viable path so we carried on and went past the lake that had swans on it and caught up with route on other side.

Some areas for off lead dogs but quite a few sheep about. The suggested car park was boarded up but found street parking nearby

Lovely circular walk with nice views. I had done this walk a few times before so deviated slightly from the overgrown section, taking the gravel path down from Ellenborough Park hotel towards the racecourse which brings you back pretty much on to the original route eventually.

A really enjoyable walk. A bit of a hill to start (fantastic views of Cheltenham though) but the second half of the walk was very flat. There was a wooded area 3/4 of the way through that was quite overgrown and a bit tricky to navigate, but otherwise a very clear path.

Stiles were ok unless you have a large dog. Our greyhound with his long legs and deep chest couldn’t negotiate one of them towards the end of the clockwise route. Some others were tough for him too but we managed to get him over/through. Still a nice walk though.
