Dolebury Warren Walk & Route Map
Starting from The Swan Inn in Rowberrow, this walk wanders through a a beautiful wooded valley before climbing to the ancient Iron Age hill fort at Dolebury Warren.
With sweeping views across Somerset and the Bristol Channel, plus a welcoming pub at the finish, it’s a rewarding countryside escape with around 500ft of ascent.

The walk
Dolebury Warren Walk
This lovely pub walk starts from The Swan Inn in Rowberrow and takes you down into a magical wooded valley before looping around the outside of Dolebury Warren.
You'll gradually climb up to the top, where you'll find an ancient Iron Age hill fort and incredible views stretching across Somerset, the Bristol Channel, and even as far as the Quantock and Blackdown Hills.
After soaking up the scenery, you descend back into the wonderful woods and return to the pub - perfect for a well-earned drink or meal. Parking is free if you use the pub - just get your parking validated inside!
