This nice short family-friendly walk starts in Spelsbury and takes you south west across Coldron Brook, then through and around the Dean Grove woodlands before looping back through countryside to Spelsbury.

Great walk, couple of fields of cows to go through. Walk joined up with a walk we recognised from Chadlington. Lots of water and lots of mud - wellies definitely recommended!
Has some nice sections but one part was impassable as it was overgrown with nettles and we had to make a little detour. Near the end there was a sign warning bull in field which was a little scary!
Walk information
This route is a longer extension of the first route that still visits the Dean Grove woodlands and the pretty countryside around Spelsbury, but it then takes you south along the Oxfordshire Way until it reaches the village of Charlbury.
When you get there, you'll discover a stretch of walking alongside the River Evenlode, a pleasant stroll around the village itself and some lovely pubs to visit half way around this walk, before working your way back to Spelsbury through open countryside.

An enjoyable morning walk although was in places muddy and expect to be very much so after rain, gets very muddled around the mill as previously mentioned but was still passable
Be aware that at Coldron Mill the footpath goes through a private garden and its not very clear of the correct route - signs saying a large dog lives there is quite worrying! Just past the Mill you have to walk over a "bridge" which is about the width of a scaffolding plank, very slippery and quite a distance - not for the faint hearted!!
Extremely flooded in parts but we did do it after very heavy rainfall! Lovely walk other than floods
