This first route (the orange route) is a simple family-friendly walk in the lovely Sherrardspark Wood.
This is an ancient woodland containing mainly sessile oak and hornbeam trees and the paths are generally well maintained and gravelled making it a safer woodland walk in wetter weather (although wellies are always a bonus when it's wet!).

First-hand experiences
First time i have been. First time using the app to navgate. App worked perfectly. Walk was eady and pleasant. Not a lot ofbio diversity to note. Seemed to be all dog walkers and only one other studying the nature.
It’s a very easy route, had 3 children with me and no one complained, so i take that as a win. Will definitely need wellies if wet and if its dry could defo be a nice stroll with a pushchair.
Great walk for dogs as they were off lead the whole time. It’s not a big car park but plenty of spaces when we were there on a Saturday morning. Met a few other dog walkers but it always felt quiet. Next time will try the nearby Red Lion pub which looked lovely.

If you have a bit more time and energy for your woodland adventure, this second route option (the red-dotted route) is a slightly longer walk in Sherrardspark Wood.
The extra distance takes you a bit more 'off-piste' through the pretty woodland at times and includes some more hills, making it a slightly more adventurous and energetic walk.

We loved this walk and are so.pleased that this app showed us these woods. Walk 1 would be fine for buggies etc but walk 2 (which we did) does have some.smaller paths which wouldnt be suitable. Lovely lovely place - we will return.
Perfect walk on a warmer days, plenty of benches to rest
Sherrardspark Walk 2......Lovely, short woodland walks. Walk 1 is perfectly manageable with a buggy so great for families. Walk 2 is more enjoyable (for us) as it uses some of the smaller paths and involves steeper climbs. The whole wood has plenty of benches everywhere for rests or picnics.

Very muddy this time but no more than expected so good boots or wellies needed. A few paths have been surfaced but not connected so no good for buggies...Beautiful natural forest
