Derbyshire Walks
Longnor sits on the edge of the Peak District where Derbyshire meets Staffordshire, and these walks make use of the surrounding hills, valleys and farmland to create a varied rural route.
Both routes pass through Crowdecote and by the Pack Horse Inn, before continuing across fields near the River Dove, while the longer walk adds a climb up High Wheeldon for wider views across the surrounding countryside.

This shorter Peak District route explores the rolling countryside around Longnor on the Derbyshire/Staffordshire border.
It's a walk with a mix of open fields, a few hilly sections offering nice views and a few short road sections.
The route also passes the Pack Horse Inn in the village of Crowdecote, a convenient halfway pause before continuing with your walk.

If you have more time and energy for your walk, this second option basically extends the first route and adds a climb to the summit of the High Wheeldon hill, offering fantastic views.
As with the first route, this walk passes the Pack Horse Inn on the way where you can top up on refreshments before tackling the big hill climb.
