Lathkill Dale Walks & Route Maps

This short walk explores one of the Peak District’s most loved limestone valleys.

First, you'll descend down into Lathkill Dale which is shaped by pale rock, grassy slopes, and the clear waters of the River Lathkill, one of the region’s most striking natural rivers.

After a wonderful and adventurous walk along the river and dale itself, you'll then take a steady climb up though peaceful countryside to a lovely pub with great views towards the end of the walk.

If you have a lot more time and energy for your walk, this longer route explores much more of Lathkill Dale, one of the Peak District’s best-known limestone valleys.

After a long and adventurous riverside walk through the Dale itself, you'll then climb up the steep rocky path and then join sections of the Limestone Way as it sweeps though miles of peaceful and lovely open countryside.

As with the first route, there is also a welcoming pub towards the end providing great views and a well earned reward of refreshments.
