This walk is a delightful countryside ramble linking the pretty villages of Taddington, Chelmorton and Flagg across the open limestone landscape of the White Peak.
This walk includes a few climbs and plenty of rural charm, with wide views, peaceful lanes and welcoming village stops along the way.

The walk
Taddington Moor Walk
This lovely walk takes you from Taddington to the very peaceful, classic White Peak limestone village of Chelmorton, one of the highest villages in England!
The village, which has the delightful Illy Will Water stream running through it, is surrounded by typical stunning Peak District scenery. Whilst here you can visit St John the Baptist church and have a drink at the local pub.
The walk then continues through typical Peak District countryside and along quiet lanes to the small farming village of Flagg before returning back to Taddington where further refreshments can be found.
There is one short steep climb at the start of the walk (with of course lovely views) and a couple of further climbs on the route. There are numerous stiles and the ground can be muddy in wet weather.
