Froggatt Edge is a gritstone crag overlooking the Derwent Valley in Derbyshire. It sits within the Peak District landscape, with a line of rocky edges, open views and a mix of moorland and valley walking close together.

We have five Froggatt Edge walks on the Derbyshire Walks app, from about 2 miles to just over 7 miles. Three of them follow Froggatt Edge itself, passing the Froggatt Edge Stone Circle and named crags such as Froggatt Pinnacle, Three Pebble Slab and Chequers Buttress, with Curbar Edge close by. The shortest and longest routes don't follow Froggatt Edge, but use White Edge and Curbar Edge instead, giving you a shorter or longer option.

Along the way there are places to stop, including The Grouse Inn, The Chequers at Froggatt and the community shop cafe in Grindleford. The longer walks drop down to the River Derwent and the old bridge at Froggatt, then climb back up, so expect some steady uphill sections.
