Great Coxwell Walk
This circular walk begins at the impressive Great Coxwell Barn and takes you on a walk offering a pleasing mix of open countryside, mild hills and enclosed woodland paths.
The walk passes through the village of Great Coxwell as well as climbing gently towards Badbury Hill, where woodland and higher ground add contrast to the surrounding farmland.
It’s a well-balanced route that blends history, village character, and varied scenery into a satisfying few hours outdoors.

Very muddy after some heavy rain but if you do the walk anticlockwise there’s more opportunity to walk the mud off on the country lanes. Enjoyable walk.

This walk started out really well, easy to find, plenty of parking, not overly busy, lovely woodland and fields at the beginning but only the first half, the second half was disappionting as it was just road walking until back to the car, not great when expecting a lovely walk away from roads.

I loved this walk. Saw lots pf wildlife including Marbled white butterflies and roe deer. There was a bull in a field we walked through but he was surrounded by an electric fence. Some hills but still a relaxing walk.

Nice walk. Would be muddy in parts in wet weather. I am pleased we did it going through Badbury clump at the start of the route otherwise the descent would have been a very steep climb towards the end of the walk.
