The walk
Fox Hill Walk
This rewarding long walk sets out from Fox Hill and crosses the open slopes of Charlbury Hill, where wide views stretch across the surrounding countryside.
Partway around, the walk passes through the pretty village of Bishopstone, where a welcoming pub offers a chance to pause for refreshments.
There is a short stretch of road walking, but the route is largely through countryside, making it a pleasant few hours out with views, village charm and fresh country air.

Helen Browning also has a refreshment van serving hot food on the ridgeway near the road down to Bishopstone at the weekend between 11 and 3.
