Fab views!

We chose to park near the butcher and take the byway up from there and completed our circuit by then taking the other footpath/track down the hill through the punchbowl, rather than going a little further and walking on roads. Wide tracks / paths all the way with gates rather than stiles. Might be ok for an offroad pushchair but not one with normal wheels! Beautiful views at the top. Pub closed and for sale but great butcher/shop open.

The first incline from A30 was a little overgrown in summer, and one part of the route was broken stones hard to walk on. Otherwise some lovely views and pleasant walking.

Walker review

A beautiful walk with stunning views and very enjoyable. Be careful on the last mile or so as there was a patch of path that was very overgrown with stinging nettles and thorny bushes.

Walker review

Delightful walk with fantastic views!

Unfortunately the Ship at Burcombe is closed , but I was told by a gentleman on the walk, that it has been sold and might well be reopening again. Good walk though. There isxa pub in Barford StMartin not faraway.
