It skirts Great Common Woods, where mixed broadleaf trees create a sheltered stretch typical of this patchwork landscape of fields and woodland.
The route then returns towards the heart of the village, passing the Forester’s Arms and The Half Moon.

Very nice walk not as shaded as expected but very enjoyable if walking a off lead pup note that there is a lot of off and on lead.When on the last road if have children or pups suggested to cross through cricket field and church grounds as no pavement.
