The Mens Walks & Route Maps

The Mens walk, Sussex
The Mens · Photo: Peter Jeffery

Set in the Low Weald of Sussex, the walks around The Mens explore one of the county’s most important areas of ancient woodland.

These walks are quiet and enclosed, with long-established oak and beech creating a shaded, setting throughout.

The shorter walk stays within the main reserve, while the longer route links into surrounding paths including the Sussex Diamond Way and Wey-South Path, also passing through Hammonds Wood.

Together, the walks offer a varied way to experience this part of Sussex, combining protected woodland with wider countryside connections.

Lovely trail but be warned lots of trees down across the paths so a lot of climbing over, crouching under or through the brambles to go around. Few short hills but if i can do it then not that hilly
