Our first Ashurst walk offers a relaxed countryside route which heads into the patchwork of woodland and fields that edge the Adur Valley at the foot of the South Downs.
There is a short divert from the start to The Fountain pub if you fancy refreshments after your walk.

This is the longer Ashurst walk, covering the valley and the old railway line, with a pub at each end.
It begins near The Fountain pub before heading into the wide sweep of the Adur Valley.
The route follows the River Adur as it winds through open countryside, then joins the Downs Link.
The route also passes The Old Railway pub.
