Sussex Walks
These walks around the village of Copsale offer a peaceful way to enjoy the open Sussex countryside.
The shorter of these walks is a gentle, mostly flat loop that takes you along farmland paths and the old railway line, perfect for a relaxing stroll in the fresh air.
The longer route builds on this by adding a stretch of woodland paths and a visit to the nearby village of Nuthurst, where a friendly pub provides a great spot to pause and refresh.

Walk information
This is a nice and simple walk in the countryside around the village of Copsale.
It's a relatively flat walk, and the main thing to enjoy is the fresh air and open farmland as you stroll around this loop and along the old railway line.
There is a short section of walking along a road at the start, so please be careful here.

First-hand experiences
Lovely walk. Easy to follow. You will need to keep a dog on the lead as some of the walk passes through farmland.
The route along the old railway track is proper pathway. Some of the route was difficult through the banked tree rooted area alongside a stream. There are lots of stiles, some with wobbly steps
Part of the route is closed for 21days from 5th April.
Good walk but public footpath was blocked off had to pick up at a later point.
Followed footpath signs but still sometimes went off the beaten track. Easy enough to pick up again.
Bluebells out in Spring. Some paths will be deep mud if wet.

This second route is effectively an extension of the first route.
It still enjoys the simple open countryside paths from the first route, but this extension also enjoys a short section of woodland walking and a visit to the village of Nuthurst where you'll find a pub for some refreshments.
As with the first route, there is a short section of road walking.
