Walk information
This first walk is a relatively short, but still strenuous walk in the wonderful woodlands of Hurt Wood.
The walk is mainly made up of hilly woodland paths, so make sure you have appropriate footwear in wetter weather. You will be rewarded for your efforts though with some breathtaking views up on Pitch Hill.

If you really want a workout, while exploring the wonderful woodlands to the south of Peaslake, then this second route is an epic adventure for you to enjoy.
The walk starts by following the same path as in the first route option, heading south through Hurt Wood until you reach the breathtaking views of Pitch Hill.
After that though, the route heads off to the west and takes you deep into the beautiful Winterfold Forest. You'll climb Reynards Hill and the Winterfold Hill on this section of the walk, so expect a strenuous workout.
Then, you'll turn to the north and take a long path through Winterfold wood which eventually turns to the east, and out into some open countryside, to finish the journey back to Peaslake where you can enjoy some refreshments at the pub there.
