Gomshall

This first walk is a short heritage trail from the train station in Gomshall. (So you can arrive and do this walk by train if you wish.)

The walk mainly explores the village itself, enjoying its many historic houses and buildings and there is also some pretty countryside to explore on this walk as well.

Finally, there is a lovely pub on the route, and they have a big car park, so if you ask them and book a table for lunch, there is potentially a free parking option there if the station is full.

If you have more time and really want to work up an appetite for a post-walk reward at the pub, then the second route option is a much more strenuous adventure that takes you up into the hills to the north of Gomshall.

There's a very steep climb to get up there, but you'll be rewarded with some lovely views at times and lots of pretty woodland paths before working your way back down to the village.

It can get a bit muddy in winter and wild in summer, so please wear appropriate clothing for this walk.

Like the first route, it starts at the Gomshall Train Station car park, so you can arrive by train if you like.
