Staffordshire Walks
If you’re looking for a proper day out on Cannock Chase, this longer circular walk is a great way to experience just how varied the landscape can be.
Setting off from the visitor centre, the route takes you deep into the Chase through peaceful woodland, past lakes and wildlife, over rolling hills and out into beautiful stretches of open Staffordshire countryside.
At 8.75 miles, it’s long enough to feel like a real adventure and gives you the chance to leave the busier parts of Cannock Chase behind and properly explore.
There’s plenty of variety along the way to keep things interesting, and with some rewarding views and wonderfully quiet sections, it’s a walk worth taking your time over.
Pack some food and drink, wear suitable footwear and make a day of it.

This is our longest Cannock Chase walk which starts from the visitor centre. It's an epic trek with a bit of everything including woodland, lakes, wildlife, hills, roads and lots of glorious open Staffordshire countryside to enjoy.
It's a long and strenuous hike around Cannock Chase so please go prepared with the appropriate clothing and refreshments.
