The routes lead through Hurst Wood, where winding paths pass beneath tall trees and the scenery changes beautifully through the seasons.
The longer of the walks stretches further to Tunbridge Wells Common, adding heathland, ponds, and striking sandstone rock formations to the journey.

This first walk is a short stroll in Hurst Wood, exploring this peaceful patch of ancient woodland on the edge of Tunbridge Wells.
The route weaves beneath oak, birch, and hornbeam trees, where the ground shifts with the seasons - bluebells in spring, bracken and fungi in autumn.

This much longer route links the peaceful and ancient woodland of Hurst Wood with the open heath and rocky slopes of Tunbridge Wells Common.
After leaving the woodland, the route takes you through Tunbridge Wells and then opens out onto the Common - a landscape of sandstone outcrops, gorse, and ponds that feels surprisingly wild at the town’s edge.
Together, these two green spaces create a varied, scenic walk through the High Weald, blending quiet forest paths with broad views and a real sense of natural history.
