Goudhurst Walks & Route Maps

This first option is a gentle and short pub walk that showcases the charm and history of Goudhurst village.

After a short stroll the route visits St Mary’s Church, whose tall spire has watched over the village for centuries and offers lovely views across the High Weald from its churchyard.

From there, the walk meanders through the heart of the village, passing traditional pubs like The Vine and the Star and Eagle, both adding to the character of this hilltop setting.

A very short, easy stroll that’s perfect for soaking up the atmosphere of one of Kent’s most picturesque villages before enjoying a nice pub lunch.

If you have more time and energy, this longer route explores much more of the rolling countryside around Goudhurst, picking up a stretch of the High Weald Landscape Trail and offering views across the patchwork hills of this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
