Cheshunt Walks & Route Maps

This first walk is a short family and wheel friendly stroll from Cheshunt that has a special surprise for your dogs as well.

The first half of the walk is a pleasant stroll alongside the River Lee Navigation for a while before you loop around and walk back through a park that has a number of doggy activities for your four-legged friends to enjoy.

This second route is a longer extended version of the first walk that heads north from the car park in Cheshunt.

Like the first route, the first half of the walk is a peaceful stroll alongside the River Lee Navigation canal.

However, this option takes you a lot further up the canal before looping back and taking you on a winding adventure back through lakes and woodland.

At the end of the walk there is a dog activity trail marked on the map if you want to enjoy that with your dog.

This third route option is a scenic walk that takes you through the tranquil Thistly Marsh to the south of the start point, where you'll encounter the 'Giants Chair' sculpture which is part of the Lee Valley sculpture trail.

The route then leads you past Bowyers Water lake before reaching the River Lee Navigation canal which you'll follow for a while before turning and heading north.

You then follow Waltons walk along the River Lee Relief Channel until you pass the Hooks Marsh lake on your left. Next, take a turn and venture back through the picturesque lakes along Cadmore Lane.

Finally, the walk finishes with a fun and adventurous dog activity course, leading you back to the starting point, so you can enjoy a perfect day out with your furry friend on this splendid walk.

This fourth route option is basically an extension to the third route that explores much more of the wonderful Lee Valley lakes, woodlands and rivers.

It enjoys everything from the third route, but it then heads further north and takes you around the Seventy Acres Lake. The final stretch of walking back to the start is then through the woodlands around the North Met Lake.

This route also allows you to navigate the entire Lee Valley sculpture trail, so that adds some fun to the walk as you try and discover all of the sculptures.

This final route option is a long circular walk that heads to the north of Cheshunt until you reach Broxbourne.

The first half of the walk takes you on a winding adventure through the pretty lakes and woodlands of the Lee Valley park, before strolling along a stretch of the River Lee Navigation to get into Broxbourne where there is a pub and a nice cafe.

You can then either catch the train back from Broxbourne to the start, or walk back via a long straight amble alongside the River Lee Navigation canal.
