Lovely walk. Very scenic. Steps down about half way round the walk and steps up at the beginning

Walker review

Pleasant easy walk. Lots of activity on a Sunday morning around the park

Walker review

There are two sets of stairs on the route which may make this inaccessible with buggies. Parts of route not scenic but a nice stroll. There are no railings etc near the lake so be careful with small children.

Walker review

Lovely walk along the canal, well maintained foot paths, some muddy puddles, dog friendly for the majority of the walk, but our dog fell into the canal so watch with small kids and dogs. Thoroughly enjoyable.

Pleasant walk, pretty easy, the two pubs on route were perfect.

Walker review

Pleasant walk that wasnt too muddy, more puddles than mud. Lots of birds to see along the route. Enjoyed a drink in the pub half way round that had a lovely garden/patio that overlooked the river.

Walker review

Very nice walk down the river. As the route leads you off the river path it is very wet and muddy, to the point that someone has put pallets down for you to walk over. They are wobbly so be careful when crossing them. Other than that there is a bridge with quite a few stairs so if you have mobilty issues then this walk is not for you. Lovely stop off on the way at the fish and eels or towards the end at the crown.

Walker review

This was a lovely walk around broxbourne. The only part that let it down was once we had got past the fish and eel (well worth a stop to sit out by the water) as there was a lot of flytipping which spoiled it along part of the canal

Walker review

Lovely walk not to strenuous bur very pretty.

Walker review

Very pretty walk and not hilly.

Walker review

One of my favourite walks very pretty and flat.

Walker review

Nice relaxing walk. Stunning water views but a few dodgy areas to pass as well.

This third route option is another lovely walk from Broxbourne, this time heading out to the south from the start point.

The walk starts with a long and peaceful stroll alongside the River Lee Navigation canal, before it eventually loops around the heads back on an more adventurous path that winds it's way between woodlands and lakes before rejoining the canal to retrace your steps for the last section of the walk.

This fourth route basically an extension of the second route for those of you that have more time and energy for your adventure.

Like the second route, you'll walk north along a pretty stretch of the New River Path, and then loop around and head south again along the River Lee Navigation.

However, this route takes you all the way up to Rye House where there is an impressive gate house, another riverside pub, a car park and a train station.

This makes this walk a great option if you want to do a station to station linear walk between Broxbourne and Rye House train stations.

This final route option is another long station to station walk, but this one heads in the opposite direction from the fourth walk.

On this route, the first half of the walk takes you south along an epic and peaceful stretch of walking alongside the River Lee Navigation towards Cheshunt.

Then, the second half of the walk loops around at Chershunt and takes you back to the north towards Broxbourne, on a more adventurous and winding path through pretty woodlands and lakes.

If you want to walk to Cheshunt and then catch the train back, you can follow either half of the route depending on your mood.
