Ashwell Walks & Route Maps

This first route is a super simple short pub walk in and around the village of Ashwell.

The route first takes you on a stroll around the pretty village itself with its country pubs and church. It then takes you on a simple loop out into the arable farmland to the west of the village.

There's not a lot to see out there, but its a peaceful open space with plenty of fresh air and the bit of exercise will work up an appetite for your post-walk reward at the pub.

If you want to stretch your legs a bit more, then this second route is a much longer walk that explores the countryside to the west of Ashwell.

Like the first route, you'll explore the village of Ashwell itself and then venture out into the open (and quite exposed on a sunny day) arable farmland to the west of the village.

You'll get a lot more of that peaceful countryside walking on this route though and you'll also visit the pretty village of Hinxworth, where you'll find another wonderful country pub.

This final walk option is another longer walk, but this one takes you in the opposite direction to the second route.

This walk still strolls around the pretty village of Ashwell, and still enjoys plenty of open arable farmland walking, but this one explores the countryside to the east of the village instead and crosses into Cambridgeshire, visiting the village of Steeple Morden that also has another lovely pub.
