Lovely short walk, close yo home for me so managed to get in done early before it got to hot . Didn’t use pub or tea rooms today but have been in tearooms before and would recommend.

Was a warm day but so quiet. Hardly crossed with anyone. Maybe go later in the day as no shade but a lovely breeze coming from the water.

Really enjoyable walk on well kept paths. One short section was a little overgrown, but there was an alternative path below the raised bank route that we took. Parking in Heybridge is easy and relatively cheap - £2.50 for 4 hrs.

Parking at the village carpark is free. Coffee at the pub was good and also the cafe next to car park on the canal path looked OK with indoor seating on boat.
