This route is a nice and simple family-friendly stroll around the open farmland and woodland around the village of Woodham Walter with a wooden playground overlooking the village if you have children with you.
There is also a lovely pub in the village to enjoy after your walk.

Enjoyable walk , we did go off plan a few times just because we wanted a longer walk and there is numerous foot paths that link up in the area. The walk was very peaceful, no background traffic noise . I have had good reports about The Bell pub but have yet to go in myself , probably because we live in Maldon so it was home for lunch after the walk. The Church wasn’t open , however i have been in before its well worth a visit. In June they have a flower festival so perhaps combine that with the walk .

Great walk, to our surprise the Church (St. Michael the Archangel) was open, beautiful building with a very interesting history. Just opposite the church - lovely wooden playground, overlooking the village.
