This is a short and very family-friendly woodland walk around Blakes Wood. Blakes Wood is made up of 100 acres of Essex woodland which has a variety of different tree species including oak, ash and birch.
The woods are packed full of wildlife for you to enjoy and you should listen out for the woodpeckers on this walk as well as enjoying the Bluebells in the spring.

Lovely walk. Quite steep and hilly in places. Lots of different footpaths. Mostly dog walkers.

However, this option simply takes you a bit deeper into the Wood for those of you with a little bit more time for your adventure.

Fantastic walk. Very peaceful and relaxing. Enjoyed the longer route which took us up on a couple of steep climbs, great to get the heart pumping! Will definitely return!
