The first route is a short circular walk that takes you to the top of 'Middle Hill' where you will enjoy some beautiful views.
The hill is one of a series of hills along this dramatic section of the Wessex Ridgeway and you can explore them all by following the three different routes on this app.

This second route is a slightly longer and a slightly more strenuous walking loop that takes you east from the start point, this time to the top of Scratchbury Hill.
The extra effort is worth it though as you are rewarded with some more wonderful views in all directions.

If you really want to stretch your legs, and conquer all of three hills along this stretch of the Wessex Ridgeway, then this route is for you.
It climbs to the top of all three of the hills, Scratchbury Hill, Middle Hill and Battlesbury Hill, so you will need some energy on this walk.
To complete the loop the walk heads south and visits the village Bishopstrow on the River Wylye before heading back to the start.

Lovely varied walk with some great views over Longleat Forest and Clay Hill. Some footpaths are quite overgrown so care needed in places. Oh and the walk is nearer 6.25 miles, not 5.75.
A lovely circuit. Plenty of variety and amazing views.
