This is a lovely family-friendly walk around the majestic Houghton Forest.
It is quite a hilly area of woodland, so there is some climbing involved, but it's worth it for the lovely woodland adventure that you'll have.

This second route option is an extension of the Houghton Forest walk that also enjoys the wonderful and hilly woodland of this area.
However, if you are not satisfied with just woodland walking, it also escapes the forest for some open countryside and climbs to the tops of Bignor Hill and Westburton Hill where you'll be rewarded for your efforts with fantastic views.

First-hand experiences
Great walk with lovely views. Slight incline early in the walk and a steeper path on Bignor Hill. Path for the last mile very overgrown so use the edge of the adjoining field.
Wonderful walk, the last øeg if going clockwise was a bit overgrown and pribsbly 40% of the route is exposed so it got a bit hot. But stunning views, quiet and oeaceful, definitely recommend (nb I didnt find it too hilly but I am used to hill walking, it may be quite debanding if you arent used to hills).
