Walk information
This first walk is a short and simple family-friendly stroll around High Ridge Wood.
There's not a lot of variety other than woodland, but it's great on a hot day to escape the sun as well as being perfect for a short dog walk or for kids that want a woodland adventure.
As with most woodland walks, it can get muddy in wet weather, so wear the appropriate clothing for the conditions.

If you want a bigger and more varied adventure, then this second route is a much longer walk from High Ridge Wood.
You'll explore the woods initially of course, but then you'll embark on a long walk through open fields until you reach the pretty village of Brockham where you'll find a wonderful village pub on the green.
After that you'll head east through more woodland and countryside, crossing the River Mole a couple of times, until you reach the outskirts of the village of Betchworth where there's another pub!
After your double dose of refreshments, it's then a winding long walk through more pretty countryside until you enter the High Ridge Wood again and get back to the start point.
