The walk
Wellington Monument Walk
An interesting short walk up to the top of Wellington Monument with some lovely views and old history.
The triangular obelisk monument on the Blackdown Hills is a tribute to the Duke of Wellington and hia success at the Battle of Waterloo.
The walk has some steep segments but nothing too challenging with some nice woodland walking.

Straightforward stroll through some beautiful woodland with the Monument a striking attraction at start and finish. NB if visiting in summer (April-August) the National Trusts asks you to keepmyoyr dog on a short lead to avoid disturbing ground nesting birds.
