Kent Walks
These walks explore some of the quieter corners of the Kent Downs around Lyminge, following a mix of valley paths, rolling farmland, and open chalk ridges.
Both routes make use of sections of the Elham Valley Way, where gentle countryside unfolds in a patchwork of fields and hedgerows, before linking with the North Downs Way and its wider views across the landscape.
The longer of the walks climbs higher to Farthing Common, a notable viewpoint where the land opens out and you can really appreciate the scale of the surrounding countryside.
Both routes finish at the Coach and Horses, a welcoming village pub that makes a fitting place to pause after a day of exploring this peaceful part of Kent.

The path leads first through the quiet rural patch of Foxendown, where fields and hedgerows mark the edge of working countryside.
Then comes Brimestone Wood, a peaceful pocket of mature trees and shifting seasonal colour, perfect for a reflective pause beneath the canopy.
Later, the walk returns to Meopham Green, passing The Cricketers Inn - a familiar local pub and a natural place to round things off.
