Lenham Walks & Route Maps

This short but punchy Lenham route offers a lovely mix of history and open countryside.

It begins with a steady climb to the striking Lenham Cross, a chalk hill figure cut into the Downs as a memorial to those who fell in the First World War.

From there, the walk joins a peaceful stretch of the ancient Pilgrim’s Way, part of the North Downs Way National Trail that offers lovely views.

After this you'll descend back to the village where there are plenty of options for welcome refreshments.

If you have more time and energy, then this longer Lenham route extends the first route to give you a much more fulfilling adventure.

From here the route continues through fields until you reach the village of Warren Street where there is a pub for refreshments.

The final stretch walks down until you reach the ancient Pilgrim’s Way, a peaceful track along the ridge that links centuries of history with the timeless beauty of the North Downs.

You'll then follow this back along the ridge until you then descend back into the village for refreshments.
