The walk
Chappel Walk
This is a lovely and varied countryside walk from the pretty village of Chappel. You'll enjoy plenty of picturesque countryside on this walk, as well as a short roam through the pretty Chalkney Wood.
There are some mild ascents to climb on this walk and you'll certainly then work up an appetite for your reward at the lovely village pub when you finish your walk.
Please note, on the way back into the village, there is a section of walking along a quiet country road. Please be mindful on this section.

This was my first walk from the app and I am so pleased I’ve downloaded this app. The route was easy to follow and allowed for a decent amount of off lead time for my dog. We finished with a meal at The Swan Inn and 100% reccommend it.

This walk had some varied terrains which made it interesting. Chalknet woods is particularly nice. I agree with the other observations that it had the potential to be very wet and muddy and there were narrow paths in places with stinging nettles. We managed!

Really enjoyed this walk - some slight inclines but mostly flat. Lots, and I mean lots of stinging nettles in some places so best not to wear shorts or crop trousers like I did! Some of the stiles need repair - take care when using them. Bluebells in tbe woods were beautiful. Will definitely do this one again.

Big public car park. The Swan Inn is fabulous, great staff ££ price but great quality food. If eating peak days/season i would book a table in advance. Lots of space in beer garden, dog area seating inside. We shortened the walk as dog restructed on distance at the moment but easily done, lots of markers. We went early april and some areas wet, would think very boggy in winter months. Lovely walk, clear signs. It is a farm area so 1/3 walk was on lead as animals grazing. Literally walk through livestock fields.

Lovely walk today on a beautiful cold (2 deg) but very sunny day. Fields were still very frosty and any surface water was frozen but still ok to walk on with a little care. If going once ice has melted next week you will definitely need wellies. Had nice lunch in The Swan pub at the end of the walk!
