This slightly longer route is a lovely walk that takes you further around the Cothill Fen Nature Reserve as well as along some country lanes and through farmland.
At the end of the walk, there is a nice pub for refreshments and you can combine this route with the first Dry Sandford Pit route in a figure of 8 if you wish to extend your walk in this area.

Very pleasant walk, was quite a few dog walkers, also the paths seemed to be used by mountain bikers so were cut up in some areas and would be very muddy in the wet
Excellent walk. One half hours. Not that muddy. Good for dogs. Rynning
You need the app because footpath signs are missing including the one at the start. There are also alternative routes with better way marks. Hence you need the app. It is however a delightful walk and there is a oub in the village where you start and finish.
Do not recommend until the drier months. Paths are so muddy right now it was pretty hard going.
Lovely walk on a dry sunny day, pretty flat so an easy going stroll and easy parking. Some of the paths were a bit overgrown (fully expected for this time of year) so not advisable to wear shorts. We’ll be back!
Unfortunately on a Sunday morning there was a lot of noise coming fron a nearby racing track which was so loud we couldnt escape it on any part of this walk. The walk itself was pleasant but paths a bit overgrown in places.
Have taken lots of friends who all live nearly but never knew this, lovely walk, still able to get lost though!
